Hi,

As per my understanding, standard SAP does not permit alphanumeric PERNR ranges.

If you want to keep the alphanumeric number as additional information you can maintain it in standard infotype (IT 709 - if you have implemented global/concurrent employment option).

Alternate way is to try using any extra field  or adding additional field to standard infotype (infotype 2) and store this alphanumeric pernr as information purpose.
