It seems there is some solution at least in the new environment where SCN is going (away from Jive). Not sure what's the time frame for that migration. Maybe Audrey Stevenson has an update?
For the time being one can only hope that your employer is just as bad as us with cleaning up the S-users - last week I deleted S-user for a person who left years ago.
