The LIS structures remain in 1511, for now. In future releases, everything will be based on CDS Views
By removing all the redundant data, you save memory space, you save on reconciliation etc.
When you post a transaction now, SAP just has to update the Line item Table.. It does not have to insert summary records or indices in any table
Not everything can be translated into Dollars. Simplification has no price.
Maintenance of the system is going to be easy. It will help reduce the overall TCO
You can now cater to the business requirements in a faster and efficient way
If you were using BW system just for performance reasons, you can now discard that, as HANA can help you report on line items faster. But if you were using BW for other reasons like Pulling data from multiple instances and doing data harmonization, you will continue using it
Also, extracting data into BW will become easier now, as one or few info cubes will provide you all the data
As I said, Simplification has no price attached it.. But only has Value.. You must distinguish between Price and Value
